Dust flies from tires on the dirt track.  The dark colored surface of the inner part of the track is not asphalt, it's dirt discolored by bits of tires worn off karts.
	David Gonzales of Sikeston, Missouri, cleans the right front tire with brake cleaner.  His kart is normally number "5" but there was another number five in his race.  The track assigned him "51" for that race.  Gonzales added the "1" with duct tape.
